Whistleblower Warns of Chaotic Trump Plan to Meddle With USPS Ballot Processing
Just two months before the midterm elections, USPS is preparing to launch an untested mail-in ballot verifcation system that puts eligible voters in jeopardy
A whistleblower has come forward with alarming claims about a plan by the Trump administration to interfere with the US Postal Service's (USPS) ability to process mail-in ballots ahead of the midterm elections. According to the whistleblower, the USPS is set to roll out an untested mail-in ballot verification system that could disenfranchise eligible voters. This move is particularly concerning given the critical role that mail-in ballots are likely to play in the upcoming midterms.
The timing of this development is especially worrisome, with just two months to go before the elections. The introduction of an untested system could lead to widespread confusion, delays, and potentially even the rejection of legitimate ballots. This could have significant implications for the integrity of the electoral process, particularly in a climate where trust in institutions is already low. The USPS has a long history of reliably processing mail-in ballots, and any attempts to undermine this process could have far-reaching consequences for American democracy.
As the midterm elections approach, it's essential to keep a close eye on how this situation unfolds. Will the USPS heed the whistleblower's warnings and delay or modify the implementation of the new verification system? How will lawmakers and election officials respond to these allegations, and what steps will they take to ensure that eligible voters are not disenfranchised? The Serbian-American community, like many others, will be watching closely to see how this plays out and what it might mean for the health of American democracy.
